You see this stack of papers?
This is what we call a labor of L.O.V.E.! It represents a lot of time, money and effort spent over the last 7.5 months. And it's finally going to be making it's way over to the land of our daughter. If only we could go with it!
After several phone calls this week, I finally heard what I wanted to hear today...we have been cleared by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to adopt! We weren't concerned about eventually getting approval. It's just that if they wanted to request more info, that would have taken even longer. And, as I've mentioned in previous posts, this is all we've been waiting on to take the next steps.
So, what's next? Hopefully we'll get our official letter of approval in the mail next week, mail our dossier to our agency and have them authenticate all of our documents. This step can take a couple of weeks.
Then, these papers are on to The People's Republic of China!
