That's right! We got our travel approval! I had a strong suspicion it would come today but didn't want to get my hopes up too high. Shortly after lunch, I saw a missed call and voice mail from a Tennessee area code. I knew it could only mean one thing!
I'm currently working on possible travel dates with our agency but we should know a lot more in a few days. It'd be wonderful to have a Lucy date and tickets purchased by the end of the week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please pray for Lucy. She's weeks away from having her life turned upside down.
And pray for the Lord to give us wisdom on how to be what she needs during this time.
This is really happening.

ReplyDeletePraying for Miss Lucy! Please do all the reading and preparation you can about attachment. Pick that sweet girlie up and don't put her down. Be ready to possibly offend others when they want to hold your sweet girl. She will go through so much and will need the comfort of knowing only Mommy and Daddy will be meeting her needs. I know it sounds drastic but you'll never regret this if you do.
I went by the motto, 'I don't know if Hannah will suffer attachment issues but I'm going to treat her as if she does.' 2 1/2 years later I'm thankful for those who understood the way I chose to parent Hannah and those who didn't understand now comment that they're thankful I chose to do things the way I did as she is so well attached.
Enjoy this time of preparation to bring home your sweet little girl!!!
