China day 14 will have to wait.
Because we are coming HOME!
And we're bringing this girl with us!
It's Thursday morning in Hong Kong. We're getting ready to head to our gate...our flight leaves at 10:25 am. Not long now.
Please, if you would, pray for our journey home. I think Lucy's getting worn out with all this travel and change. But she's such a trooper.
Also, if you would, please leave her some love here over the next 24 hours via a comment. I'd love to show her one day just how much she was loved, prayed for and awaited by more than just mama and baba!
Thank you all again. Can't wait to see you so very soon!

Lucy, I have been blessed with knowing your mom for several years; when she first graduated college and came to work with the folks at RE/MAX. After a bit your Baba came along and they became a couple. You have made them into a family. I know for a fact they have loved you since the day they decided to start their search for you. Just think! You were chosen to be their little girl. God has big plans for you Lucy and I am glad He chose Sheryl and Andy to be your forever family. Love you already. Billie Shoe

ReplyDeleteLucy- we cannot wait to meet you! One day we pray that you will truly understand the blessing and gift of adoption, when you are adopted AGAIN into the family of God. Your parents have allowed their church family to walk with them through this process and it has been a blessing. Looking forward to seeing your sweet face in person, and to watching your family grow in love and grace and blessings! ~The Finn Family
ReplyDeleteLucy, you're are an amazing little girl who has been blessed with some amazing parents by our amazing God! We have been praying for you for so long and we will continue to pray as God grows you into a young lady. Please know how many people love and care for you! And as much love as you experience here on Earth, that there is a God that loves you infinantly more! Oh, and when you grow up, you and I need to talk. I've know your Mama since middle school and I have so many stories that I can tell you. You'll have so much dirt on her that you'll never have to clean your room again! Love you little girl! Know how blessed you are!

ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you, and we know God has so many wonderful blessings in store for you and your new family. You are so loved!
Dear Sweet Lucy, It has been so wonderful to see your jouney. You were chosen by God to be placed in a very special family and you will be SO very loved . My heart is so happy for you all. I show my Lucy pictures of you and all the children are excited to see updates from the 'China baby'. Hope to meet you soon! Love, The Underwoods...Kevin, Amy, Mary Ellen, Josph and Lucy Louise.
ReplyDeleteLucy we are so excited you are coming home! Joni, your Qingyuan sister, wants you to know that things are going to be hard for a while...you might be angry and sad and scared...but it will get better. Those hugs and kisses will begin to melt your heart and you will start to realize that you aren't alone in this life. You are so brave but all those "survival" skills you learned at Qingyuan SWI, they won't help you in the family setting so you can lay them down and trust your mom and dad. They love you so much and will be there forever and whenver you need them. Jesus has a great story to write with your life and we can't wait to hear it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lynne. I needed this. So grateful for your kind words.
DeleteWelcome home, Lucy! You're in our prayers often. Hopefully when Mycah (Junbin) comes home we can get together!
ReplyDeleteLucy,
ReplyDeleteWe think you are so special. One day you will read this and know that my children Carter and Claire followed your journey as it prepared them to meet THEIR little sister in China...just 2 months after you returned home. They loved your pictures and your smiles and you made them so excited to go to China. You are beautiful and have the best mom and dad to help you grow up and know God. He loves them and he loves you and thought that you would be perfect together! We love you from Texas!

I love you already and I can't wait to meet you in December. I live in Germany and I'm sorry that I can't be there when you step off the plane. But don't worry I'll bring you fun things from Europe that no one else can get you (I'm the fun Aunt). Lucy I adore you! I've known your Mommy since she was in 2nd grade. She is one of my bestest friends and I can tell you right now that she is one amazing lady and you are just gonna love her! She snagged her one awesome man too...He loves Jesus so much! And guess what, they love you with a love that you can't even imagine! God has a plan for you Lu Lu! He worked all of this out for a reason and I can't wait to see what is ahead of you in your life! You are loved from around the world! With Love, Aunt Kari

Lucy,
ReplyDeleteWe have been praying, and loving, and waiting for you! You don't even know how much of a blessing you've been to so many people already. Welcome home precious girl! God has big plans for you and we will be cheering you on every step of the way~ The Bullis Family- Erin, Brandon, Parker and Tinley
Lucy,
ReplyDeleteWe have been waiting not so patiently for this day for a long time! I got to meet your mom and dad right after they were matched with you, so I got to skip a good portion of their waiting game. I do know that as soon as they knew you were theirs, they worked so hard to make sure they brought you home as soon as they could get their hands on you! It has been such a blessing for me to watch your journey as God orchestrated every detail. He has big plans for you little girl. I can't wait to see them unfold. Thanks, Andy and Sheryl, for your example of faith. Your courage and determination, not to mention your devotion to Christ is truly more than inspiring. You better hold on to them, Lucy Hope. You've got good ones!
The Baldwins
Lucy, you are such a special, beautiful little girl. We have been praying for you for a long time, and it brings us so much joy to know that you are coming home soon! We are so thankful that God has given you a Mommy and Daddy who love you so much, and love Christ, as well! We pray that God would keep you safe on this trip home, that you would grow up happy, healthy, and strong, and - most importantly - that "you, being rooted and established in love, would have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge" (Eph 3:17 - 19). We love you, little Lucy! Love, Flynn, Julie, Lara, and Louisa Cratty
ReplyDeletefLucy, What a task to try to put into words how big our God is and how precious you are. God, in His infinite grace and mercy, chose you from the beginning of time, not only to be His child...but to be the daughter of a very special couple. It is because your parents know the love of Christ that they have developed a love for a precious little girl across the world...and oh how they love you already! "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us" (1 John 3:16)...We pray that you will rest secure in the love Christ has rooted you in. You have a rich and beautiful spiritual heritage. God has also given a whole body of his believers a love for you as well. We have all joined the cloud of witnesses to pray your speedy and safe arrival into our lives. We can't wait to meet face to face the girl we know so well in our hearts. We love you and will be waiting at the airport for our precious girl!
ReplyDelete-The Carmichaels
Kyle and I have read every post, prayed every day and cried tears of joy with you when you finally got to meet the child God planned for you! To think that He knew as He knit her together that you would one day be taking her home to America brings to life the verse that His ways are higher than ours and His plans are bigger than ours! We are so excited to meet her and get to know you all! xoxox ~Amber Smith
