5 months {and Lucy's first snow!}

The view from our front porch is incredible anytime of year, but especially after a fresh snow.

If you look directly out our dining room window, you'd never know we lived in a neighborhood. You'd think we were some pretty big farm hands. But we're not :)

We love that Lucy's bedroom looks out onto this same view. Hopefully she'll grow to love it as much as we do.

Speaking of Lucy, today marks 5 months since Gotcha Day!

And Friday was her very first snow. We doubt she saw any of the white stuff in hot, sticky, southern China.

She didn't see it falling on Thursday night, as we had already put her to bed. So, she woke up to a white on the ground.

Oh, to be in her little head when she saw it for the first time!

It was obvious she liked it, and wanted to go check it out ASAP.

 It may not have been great snow for playing, as it was pretty hard and crunchy.

But Lucy doesn't know that :)

She made an awfully cute snow bunny.

We didn't stay out long. But as the snow rapidly started to melt, it provided for a few quick sledding trips down a small hill.

Andy thinks (and hopes) she's gonna be a little thrill-seeker.

 I'm thinking he's right, as she would always make the sign for "more" once reaching the bottom.

Happy 5 months together and Happy First Snow, little one! Here's hoping for at least one more good one this year!
