Stefanie was kind enough to take some pictures of the three of us. And every once in a while, a little Tallula would jump in the mix. Lucy didn't mind. And we certainly didn't either.
It's hard to believe it's been over a year since we "ran into" Stefanie in a city neither of us actually live in. Andy and I had been following their blog like crazy (just go there and you'll see why), and I couldn't believe my eyes when I realized who was also perusing Pottery Barn on that cold January day.
I've said it many times before here, but we just can't get over the connections and friendships we've made on this journey. Specifically within the adoption community.
Lucy was the prize, of course, but these relationships have been the icing on the cake. Lots of icing.
So, on Friday, our family said good-bye to theirs. They're moving on to the next chapter in their lives, and we couldn't be happier. For them :) We're sad to see them go, but can't wait to see how the Lord continues to use them in the lives of orphans. And other families like ours.Thank you, Chris and Stefanie, for allowing us to be a part of your lives while in our neck of the woods. We look forward to staying in touch, watching your little ones grow and, Lord willing, seeing you all again one day soon!

Yes and amen! Praying that God's plan is for our paths to cross again - on this side of heaven :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious friendship!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about the icing on the cake! Truly some of my closest and dearest friends are ones in the adoption community! We are so, so blessed to have met these precious people. Maybe someday our families will have an opportunity to meet? That would be neat!
Blessings.
